Thanksgiving

Hello again. In the interest of not letting the blog die, I've made it one of my new years resolutions to become better at updating our entries. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We were so lucky to be able to have members of both sides of the family together. Grandma Cooley, Grandma Banda and Grandpa Banda came over to Uncle Jim and cousin Natalie's house to celebrate with us and Madison. This was where Madison got her first taste of Grandpa Wilder's cranberries. We were a little surprised that she liked them so much given the fact that they are sweet AND tart but just like her parents, she loved them! We had a great day, good meal, and lots of fun with the family. Natalie and I got into a whipped cream fight which I wish we had photos of but we only have video that is a little too long to upload. According to tradition, Natalie and I also made monkey bread while we were in Temecula.

Hello everyone,

It's been WAY too long since we last updated the blog. My goal is to get back into it ASAP. I'll likely go back and post the photos we've been taking since July once I've got the photo software back on my computer. We've had so many amazing moments with Madi since July, including a trip accross country to visit Auntie Kelli, lots of time spent with her little friends Addie, Jacob and Calvin, and many "firsts" like photos from when she started to crawl and stand. Those are all coming soon. In the meantime, here are a few of our family photos and a link to view them all online.

Day at the Races

Every year Mel and Drew organize a day at the races for a bunch of friends. Yesterday we took Madi for her first annual experience. Turns out she's a natural... we let her point to a horse in every one of the races we bet on and every time the horse won first, second or third. We then had Addie do it and wouldn't you know it - she picked a winning horse as well. It was the craziest thing! Anyway, here are some photos of the day!

While their moms celebrated mother's day (finally) with trips to the spa at La Costa, Madison, Addison and Calvin played at the park with their dads. The boys and their babies were quite a sight walking down the road together - they even admitted they reminded themselves of that old show "My Three Dads." Here's a photo of Madi and Addie enjoying an afternoon swing.

Uncle Aaron and Aunt Jaymie Get Married

We had so much fun in Portland for Aaron and Jaymie's wedding! It was great to have all the Wilders and Bandas together in one place and to enjoy just being together as a family. We also got to see Grandpa Wilder which means that Madi met her great-grandfather for the first time. It was love at first sight ;) Of course, being able to celebrate Jaymie and Aaron as a couple and watch them say their vows was the best! Our only regret was that we couldn't have spent more time. Ryan flew in on Thursday for Aaron's bachelor party and also made it on the river boat cruise and to the dinner the night before the wedding. Madi and I didn't get in until late Friday so we missed those fun activities but did get to go with the Wilders to see the falls right near the Oregon Washington border. It was beautiful and we were so glad we had some extra time to see it before the wedding. Here are some photos from the trip.

July 4th

We celebrated July 4th at the McCall's house with a bunch of friends and the three babies - Addie, Madi and Calvin. Cheryl took Madi in the pool for the first time ever. The two little girls also seemed to really notice each other for the first time. It was pretty cute!!
